Simple cancelation process with no long-term contract. 

No fee for most changes to workflows, positions, etc. 

Customer service with a real team member who responds the same day. No third parties. 

Vendor

Tiered pricing, (ex. some functions only for "premium" clients.  

Multi-year agreement with cancelation penalty heavily in favor of the vendor. 

High fees for any minor change, some even requiring a new contract. 

Customer service involves submitting a ticket to a third party, and waiting days for a reply.
